What has happened this week!!!

Sunday morning I got to turn on the sprinklers and found this huge tree limb in the front yard!

Our neighbor, James (a policeman) was driving by to look at some of his damage and told me that a micro burst wind had come through this morning around 4:00 am. The tree limb had hit Nic's car!

There is a big dent on his roof and scratches all down his trunk. We pulled it off to the side of the house and then called our insurance company to find out that they don't pay for "acts of nature."

Nic will have to use his insurance company to have the damages fixed!!!!

We are pretty upset, to think that you pay all that money and have peace of mind of having insurance for this very reason and then they have loop holes that don't apply.
ON A HAPPIER NOTE!!!!!

WE HAVE STARTED TO REMODEL!!!!!! FINALLY THE BASEMENT IS GOING TO BE REDONE............

This is were the hot water heater is sitting now. In the way of the furnace.
Here are a few pictures of what we did today.... I had fun knocking down the walls.... I didn't know they would be so hard to knock down. So I will keep you posted each week of what is going on!!!

It is going to get allot worse before it gets better. Eddie, I'm sure that you are sad that you can't help in the re doing part......

Last week's post

As many of you know, that Nic is back down here in Utah! Thom, Stewart, Skyler, Jaxson and I went up last friday to move him down.
We had a great time laughing and talking and singing. In fact we had such a good time we missed the turn off. After about a half hour drive, Thom said ,"I think we are driving to no where." And we were going to Butte, MT.

We found a turn around and headed back to Rexburg and went in through the back side. I think Jaxson was a little worried, but the moon was bright and it was smiling at us and showed us the way to Nic's. By the time we got there, most of the truck was loaded and every one was gone.

Sat we got up and finished packing the truck. Jaxson ran his little legs up and down the stairs for us and up and down the ramp. He was such a big helper!!!

Here is a picture of Nic's house just before we left. He had six people come through his house his last week he was there, so hopefully it will sell fast.

About my week

It's time to post again.......

I had an interview with my work on Monday. (It took about 8 hours to get ready for the interview.)

It was a three hour interview and it went really well. In fact it wasn't as bad as I had thought it was going to be......it was the wait to hear if I had gotten the job.....

So Thursday we had our meeting. Five of us interviewed and only two of us were there for the meeting and we were told that they are going to hold off for three more weeks before making a decision... They don't have a full team and they will in three weeks. So the wait will continue!!!
I will just keep working hard and what will happen, will happen. I still love my job.

Also in order to get this promotion that I'm going for, I have to be going to school. (They want to see if you can go to school and keep up with your students that you are taking care of.)

So I'm taking two classes. So far they have been very enjoyable, and I'm doing quite well in them.

I had a chance to talk about the church in one and got quite a stir from one of my classmates.
I never thought that I would have gotten that reaction from someone. It made think about our missionaries in the mission field, trying to reach out to everyone. Having issues and telling people our beliefs and then have that person turn on you. It gives me a better apperication and love for our missionaries than before.
I had about three other classmates stand up for me and that made me feel good.

So that has been my week in a nut shell!!! All is good.

And I love being a member of the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!!!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!!!!!

Today Dad and I went to see what Nic was up to at the Scera Park. He will be there thru the weekend. It was a whole display of Ellis Island.

You could pretend that you were coming to America and go through a tour. You could take a test to see how well you knew about American History... There were about three different booths that you could go to.

The last booth was where Nic was.It was a great performance about coming to America. How people were willing to do anything to get to this free land. The music was very good and the actors were good as well.

It was a great tribute to alot of people like Joan of Arc and Paul Revere (fighting for freedom) ,signing of the Constitution and other great moments of time.

Nic was doing the sound. He sure knows what he is doing.

Some of the songs that were song were "Coming to America" and "Glad to be an America" "the star spangle banner" and other patriotic songs.

They had the children come out of the audience and help with a song about Paul Revere.

Jaxson wasn't sure what to do but he said that he had fun!

I'm so glad that I live in this country. I can't explain my gratitude for the men and women who have gone to war and given their lives for us to live in a free country.

As they were sing the songs I was overcome by emotion and how proud I was to be an American.

It made me have goose bumps when they were singing the Star Spangle Banner and everyone stood up out of respect.

May each of you and your families have a great and safe fourth of July. Take a moment to ponder the greatness of this land that we live in and the freedom that we enjoy daily!!!
