BAG TAG!!!

This is my bag.

Eddie calls this my funeral bag, becuase of the gold lining.

See, I don't have alot of items in my purse. Only those things that I know I'm going to be asked for.

Grandma has arrived!!!!

I know that I have arrived, when my grandchildren want to comb my hair.

I remember doing that with my grandmother. She would let us for hours on end comb and curl and rat and spray her hair. She said that it felt good.

I remember my children combing my mother's hair also. She would sit on the floor and let them comb and brush for hours also.

Last Friday, Courtney and Riley and Ethan came down to visit me. I had the day off. We had a great visit and Riley played with Jaxson.

After everyone had a nap, Riley decided to do my hair. So she got the brush and comb and played with my hair for hours. She was being so gentle with me. We had a great time and laughed alot, and it did feel good!!

Riley is telling me to look at her.

Hold still Grandma, I'm making you look beautiful!!

The next day (Sat) we went to Max and Cheese. Jaxon and Shaylee were so excited!!!

They played in the play room while waiting for their lunch. After eating we let them play some more. I think we could have left them there for hours and they would have never missed us!!

The food was great, the atmosphere was fun, the employees very helpful. I think it will be a great success!!!!

McKenna couldn't keep her eyes from moving and looking at all of the fun things.

I had a hard time to get Jaxson to look at me, he didn't want to miss a thing

Grandkids say the darnest things!!!!!

I recieved this in an email today from a friend of mine. She hoped that would warm our hearts on this cold winter day. I found it to be so funny. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did.

Saying one:

She was in the bathroom, putting on her makeup, under the watchful eyes of her young granddaughter as she'd done many times before. After she applied her lipstick and started to leave, the little one said, "But Gramma, you forgot to kiss the toilet paper good-bye!"

Saying two:

My young grandson called the other day to wish me Happy Birthday. He asked me how old I was, and I told him, "62." He was quiet for a moment, and then he asked, "Did you start at 1?"

Saying three:

After putting her grandchildren to bed, a grandmother changed into old slacks and a droopy blouse and proceeded to wash her hair. As she heard the children getting more and more rambunctious, her patience grew thin. Finally, she threw a towel around her head and stormed into their room, putting them back to bed with stern warnings. As she left the room, she heard the three-year-old say with a trembling voice, "Who was THAT?"

Saying four:

My grandson was visiting one day when he asked, "Grandma, do you know how you and God are alike?" I mentally polished my halo while I asked, "No, how are we alike?" "You're both old," he replied.

Saying five:

I didn't know if my granddaughter had learned her colors yet, so I decided to test her. I would point out something and ask what color it was. She would tell me and was always correct. It was fun for me, so I continued. At last she headed for the door, saying sagely, "Grandma, I think you should try to figure out some of these yourself!"

Saying six:

When my grandson Billy and I entered our vacation cabin, we kept the lights off until we were inside to keep from attracting pesky insects. Still, a few fireflies followed us in. Noticing them before I did, Billy whispered, "It's no use, Grandpa. The mosquitoes are coming after us with flashlights."

Saying seven:
A second grader came home from school and said to her grandmother, "Grandma, guess what? We learned how to make babies today." The grandmother, more than a little surprised, tried to keep her cool. "That's interesting," she said, "how do you make babies?" "It's simple," replied the girl. "You just change 'y' to 'i' and add 'es'."

Saying eight:

Children's Logic: "Give me a sentence about a public servant," said a teacher. One of the small boys wrote: "The fireman came down the ladder pregnant." The teacher took the lad aside to correct him. "Don't you know what pregnant means?" she asked. "Sure," said the young boy confidently. "It means carrying a child."

Saying nine:

A nursery school teacher was delivering a station wagon full of kids home one day when a fire truck zoomed past. Sitting in the front seat of the truck was a Dalmatian dog. The children started discussing the dog's duties. "They use him to keep crowds back," said one child."No," said another, "he's just for good luck."A third child brought the argument to a close. "They use the dogs,"she said firmly, "to find the fire hydrants...

WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!!

I was a grandma full time this weekend!

I watched Ethan, while Courtney and Shane went to Las Vegas for the one year anniversary. I got him late Thursday night and had him till last Sunday night. McKenna was in the hosptial, so I also had Shaylee.

Shaylee was a big help on Friday. Going to the store and buying food to eat. Getting treats for Grandpa for watching Ethan while we went.
Keeping Ethan's pacifer in his mouth so he wouldn't cry.
Helping me with wash and folding the clothes.

It was Keera's weekend with Jaxson, so I had him on Sat. as well.
Keera also had her step-son to be on Sat also.

You should have seen us on Sat morning, fixing pancakes and bacon and grape juice. I can't remember the last time I had so many little people for breakfast in a long time. They out numbered the older people in the house.

I had Ethan asleep in the swing and the rest of them laughing and eating at the bar. I think they were hungry, cause I kept making pancakes and them eating them right up.

Then it was bath time.....

Oh did water fly and they had fun. They played really well together. Any time Ethan moved they were on him or (her as they kept calling him). They still don't understand the gender thing.

We watched the snow fall all day and kept them busy with reading books, playing with toys and picking the toys up and having naps. (That was a challenge in it's self. Napping at the same time. Right!!!!)
WHAT WAS I THINKING!!

On Sat night it was just Jaxson and Ethan. It was quite and just the boys. We watched the Gladiators and Scooby Doo. It was a good bonding time for me and Jaxson and of course Ethan.

Needless to say, I did make it thru the weekend and I'm exusted!!!!! I wasn't feeling up to par this weekend and that made it harder. I'm taking today off from work to recover.

I love being a GRANDMA!!!!
