No New Halloween Witch!!

I saw the cutest Halloween witch the other night.. I had to have her!!!! Everyone knows that I add a new witch every year to my collection... I called Heather and she told me to turn off the TV and don't buy it.. I did with great sadness...
That night and the next day, that is all I could think about.. She would look so cute in my new basement.
I remembered that I got ten dollars a week to spend or save to buy what I wanted.. Forget getting my nails done.. I would suck it up and get the witch and then save again for my nails later... I can do that.. I was so excited to buy her... ( I haven't spent one dime in over a week in a half.. Opened a savings account and saved 26.00 last week on food. )
I got online to buy my wonderful new addition..... I was so excited....... I told everyone at work what I was going to buy and how cute she was going to be and my grandkids would love her.................On the website.. I can't find her..... I'm looking every where for her!!!!! SHE HAD SOLD OUT!!!!! Oh my heart!!!!!( for those who don't know me, know this is a big deal).
I'm so sad.... Not in the picture for me this year... So my nails can be done and life will be good... However I will think about her through out the fall season which starts in next week.....
Can't wait to get my decorations out.... Love the Fall!!!

Back to school!!

Well everyone is in back to school in Alpine School District.... The buses are rolling... New school clothes, back packs, kids are so excited....
Thom started driving on Wed for the 7th graders. Thursday everyone but the kindergardeners were on the bus. He was happy to see all of the kids and how they have grown during the summer. He said everyone looked spify in their new clothes....

Jasxon came over this morning to show off some of his school clothes... It brought memories of when my kids would come and and do a fashion show for my mom.. It was so much fun... I can't believe that I now get to enjoy this every year now.
He starts school on Wed. He has been such a good helper to me this past year with our remodel and with the yard work this summer so I told him I would buy his back pack for school. So this morning we were off looking.. (Heather this doesn't count, as I told him long ago that I would buy this for him). Nothing at Shopko... so off to Target..... As we got closer to the back packs he was looking for the "right one". There were many choices to choose from... Transformer, GI-Joe... Well, GI-Joe won hands down. It lights up in the front.
He looks so big with it on his back.... He came home and showed Thom and I didn't take a picture of it. So you will have to wait till Wed when he comes over again and I'll post one... He told me as he left he would remember everything that first day so he could tell me all about it....

Riley starts school on Monday at Challenger again this year and she has new clothes as well..
Shaylee starts school on the 31 of August...
I can't believe that they are going to school... They aren't old enough... Next thing I'll know is that they will be off to High School.

Update!!!

Don't everyone freak out that I'm updating..... I know it's been a few months.....
I was reading Heather's blog and liked what she is going to do for a year. So I signed up to do it with her.. (It's always better for me to do something this big with someone else.)
I don't know if I will blog about it as much as she is but I will write about a few things that I learn as I go...
One thing that I thought about that might help you all who read this to save money.
When you go to the store and at the bottom of the receipt it will sometimes tell you how much you've saved. Well what do you do with that money?
Why not open a savings account and deposit the savings that you have saved into savings so that you are really saving it. I'm going to open a grocery savings account today on my way home from work. Each time I go to the store and have savings I'm then going home and transferring that money to my account. I will keep you posted on how much I save... I'm excited about this.
Then I will truly be saving that money..... This is going to be an adventure.....Anyone else like to join us?

Here's announcing ASHLYNN GRACE!!!

First day in California

Saturday we went shopping for the new baby.. It was so nice and warm. I saw this little table and had to buy it for the girls. I also bought bubbles for them to play with. They had some money from Eddie's parents from Valentines, so they bought some bouncy balls with that money.

A Decade Ago!!

In loving Memory Jean Alyse Allen SigmanOctober 9, 1936-Jan 20, 1999.

It was the hardest thing that I have ever had to deal with. I never knew how hard it would be loosing someone that you love so much.

Some of the qualities and things that I all love about her: (feel free to add some if I left any out)
FunnyLoving of anything and everyone
Caring
Compassion
Empathic
Wanted to be where everyone else was
Good listener
Never judged
Her love for the gospel
Her love for her family
Being fair
Great at her work
First woman judge in Utah
Being a fair judge
Love of life
Fall and the beautiful colors
Loved Christmas
Loved Grandchildren
Pranks
Celebrations
Family Get togethers
Her concern for us before she left us.
Be grateful for what you have
Be kind and loving always
Be positive
Always have a prayer in her heart.
The list could go on!!!

I will treasure the time that we had with her while she was sick. The things that she taught me then, I'll always remember. She held it together all of the time. I only saw her cry twice. What a pillar of strength for the whole family.

Her viewing and funeral were huge. I just remember what great tribute to mom. Everyone loved her.

I just finished reading this incredible book about this man who died and went to the spirit world and then got to come back and teach what he had learned. In it he said that God has our loved ones come to us when we need comforting and answers to our prayers.

I believe this, as I have felt mom at times. It's a comforting thought to know she is near when we need her.

I'm sure she is busy teaching the gospel... She always wanted to serve a mission here on earth.
Our lose is heaven's gain.... and I have to learn not to be selfish. I can't wait till I see her again and be with her and my family for ever!!!

One of the traditions that we have kept is that we girls go on a "Sister's Trip" each year around her birthday. We laugh and have fun and reminisce about what a great mom that we had. I love that trip so much.... We know that she is with us!I just hope that I can be the some what of a person that my mom was to me and to my grandchildren. To instill the values that she taught me.Till we meet again mom! I love you so much!!!!

Where did 2008 go????

I can't believe that 2008 and has come and gone.... It has been way to long since I have posted!!

We were getting ready to go to Kendall and Eddies for Thanksgiving...

We had a great time.... The weather was perfect, the food was perfect, the company even better.... It was so much fun to spend time with the girls and their parents too. We laughed and played on our bed for hours on end. They giggled and got into makeup and wore my shoes and had fun with grandpa.

Every time the door would open out would run McKenna. She is fast and she loves to go bye-bye. She will go with or with out you. She holds on to your finger as she heads for the car.

She laughs and is such a good baby. Shay is into helping everyone and everything. She went every where I went. I had a little shadow for 5 days. She was excited to show me where things were. We even went to the store together to buy stuff for Thanksgiving Dinner and sang "Dancing Queen" all the way.

Here are pictures that I took while we were there.

This is how Kenna eats.. with her foot up on the table.

Shaylee eating Thanksgiving Dinner.

Eddie showing what he is Thankful for.

Laughing and having fun and then......Shay lost her dinner all over me and her.. NOT A LAUGHING MATTER!

After Shay got cleaned up she and Eddie gave us a rock concert. It was pretty rad!!!

Shaylee all ready to go shopping. Don't you love her outfit? I wonder who picked that out!

What a happy couple!!!!

Girls all ready for bed. McKenna and her hats!

Shay helping me get ready to go shoping.

This is what Shaylee found to buy. She loved this dog and it was taller than her.

A big lunch after shopping. Look I'm a big girl!

Sharing a hot fudge sundae with Shay after lunch.

As we were packing to come home the girls climbed in one of our suitcases to come home with us. Too bad I couldn't have smuggled them home with us.

THANKS AGAIN KLUBERS FOR THE WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING WEEKEND! We will do it again for sure.
